NORWEGIAN OES CLUB SPECIAL SHOW

This was my very first trip to Norway and having enjoyed every single minute of it, I do hope that it was not my last.
Firstly I would like to thank all the organizers of the committee, especially Kikki, for their excellent hospitality. Leon and I felt very welcomed and truly fell in love with your beautiful country.
I do still feel the utter amazement over the nights with near daylight and must have woken up at least 5 times during the first night, just to make sure it wasn’t a dream.
The chosen venue for this show was absolutely perfect, as it gave all exhibitors the opportunity to stay near by the spacious ring. This gave the show a great & friendly atmosphere, something all of you can be very proud off.
I have been very impressed with all the exhibited dogs. I’m not normally known for giving out too many excellent or as you would call it first prizes. The fact that nearly all the dogs gained those, really says it all.
There were only a couple exhibitors, whose dogs could have benefited from a little better handling.
BOB & Best in Show was the male Ch. Dizzny’s The Account of Isildur. This boy is all male and one could not make a mistake about this! He is a big lad but everything is in full proportion. His head, with back skull and foreface match the size of his body, so do his bone and deep chest. He has a lovely rise to the loin and well angulated hindquarters, which he uses well to move round the ring in absolute harmony with his sympathetic handler. To top it all, his coat is of a clear colour and of excellent texture. Well done, I had no hesitation in giving him Best in Show.
Pushing him hard was the BOS Ch. Sound Solution Funny Girl. This very feminine girl is as unmistakable a female as the BOB was a male. She has a nicely proportioned head with a good foreface and lovely expression out of nice china eyes. Very nice neck and well laid shoulders, straight front and good brisket, excellent rise to the loin and strong well angulated hindquarters. Her coat has my most favourite light blue colour and is of excellent texture; excellent movement viewed from all angles.
Best Puppy was Eyespy aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal. This baby has all the right ticks in the right places and now just needs to grow up and keep it all together.
Best Veteran was Ch. Bugaboo’s Honey Love, a very well balanced male of nice size and proportions, who loved his day out. A very worthy champion shown in excellent condition, moving like a youngster.
Again, thank you to all of you for making this truly a weekend to remember.
